Navy Vessel Access

Southwest Regional Maintenance Center Security (SWRMC) processes and approves all visit requests for civilian contractors and government agencies that require access to U.S. Navy vessels. Each subcontracted organization or individual requiring access aboard U.S. Navy vessels must submit to NASSCO’s Security Administration Office the Contractor Visit Request form provided by SWRMC. The submission must be received prior to the start of the contracted work.

Procedure:

NASSCO Contractors and their Subcontractors

Navy Vessel Access:

Third Parties – Government Agencies, Navy Contractors and their Subcontractors

NASSCO Facility and Navy Vessel Access:

  • Go to http://www.swrmc.navy.mil/visitors.html
  • For Government Agencies who require regular access to private shipyards (NASSCO, BAE, and CMSD), the Government Shipyard Pass request form can be submitted to grant general access to the shipyards during ship movements. Please note that a separate request must still be submitted via JPAS for vessel access.

PLEASE ALLOW 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS FOR PROCESSING BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NASSCO FACILITIES.
Please note that in addition to the visit request, NASSCO facilities require the submittal/completion of NASSCO safety paperwork and the submittal of proper insurance certificates to be on file with NASSCO Risk Management. NASSCO facility access requirements must be met prior to personnel being badged and/or gain access at NASSCO facilities.

Your compliance with these requirements is appreciated. If you have any questions, please call NASSCO’s Security Administration Dept. at (619) 544-8888 (ext. 8555, ext. 3616, or ext. 2661).
