Please join in celebrating this historic event, honoring the thousands of men and women who worked to bring this ship — and seven other ships of the class — into existence.

It’s time for the Annual Earth Month Creative Arts Contest! The contest is open to all NASSCO employees and subcontractors with a current NASSCO badge, and their children and grandchildren. This year’s theme is: “Take care of my future!”

NASSCO’s Community Cleanup and Restoration Committee (CRC) is taking on the Pond 20 area for I Love A Clean San Diego’s 15th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup on Earth Day, April 22! Join your colleagues in an effort to #LoveMotherEarth.
Activities: Trash pickup and hauling. Community service certificates provided upon request. This is a kid-friendly event. Participants are encouraged to wear a hat and wear sunblock.
Pre-registration: Please pre-register by close of business on April 21 for your chance to win one of four $25 Amazon gift cards.

Planned Route:
1. East on Old 94 to Cameron Corner in Campo. 15 minute break for necessities… also suggest everyone top off gas tanks here as only station in Julian.
2. Northeast on Buckman Springs Road. After 10 miles, veer left onto Old Buckman Springs Road.
3. Turn left and head West on Old Highway 80.
4. After the border check point, Old Highway 80 turns into S-1.
5. Stay on S-1 as it crosses over I-8 and stay on S-1 (Sunrise Highway) over Mt. Laguna until Highway 79.
6. Turn right. It is about six miles to Julian. One-hour stop for lunch, pie, shopping, etc.
7. After break, head Southeast on Highway 79 toward Lake Cuyamaca. Ride around west side of lake and stay on Highway 79 until I-8.
8. Head West on I-8. Exit on Tavern Road. Turn left at the light and stay on Tavern Road until you get to the finish: Alpine Beer Pub (1347 Tavern Road).

Join NASSCO senior leadership, employees, and community partners for our annual neighborhood clean-up in Barrio Logan.

Registration Begins: 8:30am
Event Kick-off: 9:00am
Donut Bar and coffee provided during registration.
Optional hot dog lunch provided at 11:30am.
All tools and supplies will be provided.
All participants must complete and submit an event waiver.
