NASSCO shipbuilders are inviting local K-8 students to help name their new tug boat!
The contest is now closed. The name will be announced on July 8, 2017
The tug is currently under construction with a completion date set for this summer. Once complete, the tug will be used to support NASSCO’s waterfront activities.
The contest winner will have the opportunity to participate in the christening of the new tug at a special ceremony on Saturday, July 8. The contest winner will also receive a family four-pack of tickets to the San Diego Zoo.
Themes:
All participants are encouraged to submit their idea with the following themes in mind: maritime, San Diego-built, ocean, and water.
How to submit your idea:
1. Ask your parent(s) or guardian(s) if you can participate.

Contest rules:
1. All entries must be postmarked by June 9, 2017.
2. The contest is open to all K-8 students residing or attending school in the Greater Logan Heights neighborhood (zip code 92113).
3. Only one entry per person will be accepted (so send us your best idea!)
