Event Description:
NASSCO’s Fire Department joins firefighters throughout San Diego County to collect donations for The Burn Institute in this annual donation drive. NASSCO employees and all commuters passing the San Diego shipyard are encouraged to contribute spare change or cash to the firefighters extending their boots to everyone passing by.

General Dynamics NASSCO is partnering with the San Diego Community College District and Centers for Applied Competitive Technologies to host a career fair Friday, April 6. Attendees can speak with a NASSCO representative to learn about career opportunities, complete online applications and interview for an open position. Current students and the general public are invited to attend.

What is the CRC?
The mission of NASSCO’s Community Clean-up and Restoration Committee (CRC) is to support the environmental efforts of the maritime industrial community on San Diego Bay. The CRC actively engages with the community through educational and outreach efforts including the clean-up and restoration of public areas that directly impact the San Diego Bay and its tributaries.

Join the NASSCO team for a rewarding morning spent cleaning up the Barrio Logan community! Last year 200 senior leaders, employees, contractors, friends and family supported this meaningful event. Have small children you’d like to bring? A kids activity station will occupy young ones while older siblings and parents can participate in the clean-up. Coffee, refreshments, and all cleaning tools and supplies will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles to support NASSCO’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Water will be provided to make sure you stay hydrated throughout the event.
