NASSCO employees are invited to the Christening & Launch Ceremony for the USNS Sojourner Truth, the sixth vessel of the John Lewis-Class fleet oiler program, built for the United States Navy.

CEREMONY BEGINS AT 8:00 P.M.
(NASSCO GATE 6 OPENS AT 7:30 P.M.)

Entry
- All employees and contractors MUST show their badge for entry and all guests must be accompanied by a NASSCO employee or an invited guest (must show guest pass).
- There will be no entry without a badge or guest pass.
- No one will be admitted after 8:50 p.m.
- All bags being brought into the shipyard are subject to inspection.
Admission
- Families of employees working the launch will need to bring and show the guest pass given to them via their family member.
Attire
- NASSCO is an industrial facility, so all visitors that will be entering must keep safety in mind at all times. Recommended attire below:
– Pants covering their legs up to the ankle
– Shirts with short or long sleeves - For your safety, the following are NOT acceptable in the shipyard:
– Tank tops, flip-flops, sandals & heels - Closed-toed shoes are required
Ceremony Hours
8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
*Gate 6 opens at 7:30 p.m.

Parking Info
- Parking is available in NASSCO Lots 1, 3, 4, 6, 6B, 6C, 7, 12 and main. All spaces in these lots will be open for the launch.
- Handicap parking is available along Harbor Drive.

No Smoking
No smoking or vaping will be allowed in the shipyard.
No Pets
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the shipyard. No service dogs and or emotional support animals.
